WILD GIRL
/ˈwīld ˌgər(l)/
noun
1. A woman who loves adventure as much as she loves après.
She plans the hike. She pours the wine.
She moves effortlessly between fresh mountain mornings and golden hour gatherings.
She believes the best days start outside, and the best nights end around a table with family and friends.
Wild Girl Gifts was created to celebrate her.
Wild Girl Gifts aren’t about wilderness gear or survival kits. They’re curated for the woman who lives a little wild, chasing adventure by day and savoring the moments that follow.
Hi, I'm Kim.
Welcome to Wild Girl Gifts.
In many ways, this idea has been in the making for more than twenty years.
From opening a clothing boutique out of college to building brands inside larger companies, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spark. I treated every business I worked for as if it were my own: learning what makes products special, what makes stories resonate, and what makes people smile.
But somewhere along the way, I realized something. Every Monday morning, I wasn’t thinking about work. I was planning the next weekend adventure.
Where could we hike?
Where could we ski?
Where would we go next?
And just as important (if not more important), where would we sit afterward, preferably with a glass of wine, relishing in our experiences and laughing together?
Those moments became the rhythm of my life: adventure first, après after. That’s when I realized I wanted to build something for those who live the same way: women who work hard and play harder.
Women who chase fresh mountain mornings and linger over golden hour conversations. Women who love the thrill of the adventure just as much as the joy that follows it. Women who make life a little richer simply by being in it.
That woman is the Wild Girl.
This brand was created to celebrate her. And the moments we share together.
My professional journey...
Foundations in fashion, ecomm & brand hustle
From Boutique Owner to Digital Trailblazer
My entrepreneurial streak started 20 years ago, fresh out of college, when I opened an upscale clothing boutique.
I was about a year and a half in, and I was struggling to sell $400 leather leggings in the South Side of Pittsburgh (go figure!), so I bootstrapped together a website and I’ll never forget my first sale. To a woman in Texas in the middle of the night.
That moment sparked a lifelong passion for building brands online.
Turning catalog cookies into a digital powerhouse
Modernizing an Iconic Brand
After about a decade in the fashion industry, I transitioned to gifting, where I transformed a 40 year-old catalog company into a fully robust digital marketing machine. A few notable collaborations during my time included Mrs. Fields + Mercedes Benz, major movie franchises, and national sports leagues.
It was there that I learned something important about gifting:
People don’t just gift products.
They send gifts that makes them smile.
Wine, cheese, and the power of storytelling
Revitalizing Gifting with Heart
After cookies I stepped into the world of gourmet gifting: wine, cheese, and beautifully crafted delicacies.
It was there that I created and launched a purpose-driven sub-brand, built around a simple idea: gifts could do more than delight. They could tell meaningful stories and support the people behind the products.
That experience changed the way I thought about gifting forever.
It showed me the power of storytelling, and how one thoughtful gift could support an entire community of creators.
Years later, that idea would grow into Wild Girl Gifts.
From passion to profession
Outdoor Brand Growth
After a decade in gifting, I found myself longing for the mountains every Monday morning.
Weekends were filled with hiking trails, camping adventures, and time outside - and I started asking myself a simple question: what if my work and my passions could live in the same place?
So I made the leap into the outdoor industry.
After months of research and persistence, I joined a fast-growing UK outdoor brand to help expand its presence across the United States. In a short period of time, we achieved triple-digit growth in key regions and significantly increased conversion across the digital business.
The experience gave me a deeper understanding of the outdoor consumer: women who crave adventure, but also appreciate style, comfort, and the moments that follow the adventure.
Those insights now live at the heart of Wild Girl Gifts.
My personal journey...
The foundation
DREAM
I grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania, slinging potato pancakes and making pierogies by hand. It was the kind of upbringing that teaches you how to work hard early, and I developed a work ethic that has stayed with me ever since.
I was also fortunate to travel, and those early experiences sparked something in me: a love for adventure and curiosity about the world.
When I was young, my father gave me a necklace with a single charm on it: DREAM.
My parents always encouraged me to pursue my passions, wherever they might lead. That message stayed with me.
It led me to open my first business, a clothing boutique, at 20. And now, at 40, it has led me to this point: building Wild Girl Gifts, a dream in the making.
The adventure
Life in the Mountains
Just before I turned 30, my boss convinced me to move out west.
Up until that point, I had only lived in Pennsylvania and was very close with my family. Being 29 and single, I figured I’d put my personal life on hold and move across the country to pursue a career at Mrs. Fields Cookies.
“You’ll meet a cowboy,” she said. I rolled my eyes.
Two weeks after setting foot in Utah… I did just that.
The moment
Best Job Yet
My husband and I have two little girls, Avalina and Stella.
After working way too many hours, my six-year-old made herself a paper laptop so she could “spend more time with mommy." That was the moment I realized something had to change.
Wild Girl Gifts was born from that moment.
A business built around the things that matter most:
Adventure
Connection
And time with the people we love.
Thank you for being here and joining this journey with me.
What's my favorite Wild Girl Gift?
The Adventure Edit. It's playful. Unexpected. And full of things you didn't know you needed until you open the box.
But the truth is, the best Wild Girl Gift isn't what's inside the box.
It's the moment it creates.
