Colorado, head to toe.

A hot bath at 7,000 feet, in a box. Every single thing in here was made in Colorado, and we drove to most of it: Fairplay, Salida, Golden, Steamboat Springs and then packed by hand at our kitchen table in Berthoud.

What's inside, and who made it

  • Wild Girl mountain soap dish - our own design, made for us by Angie at The Maverick Potter in Salida. Every glaze breaks differently, so no two are alike and the one in your box is the only one exactly like it. You cannot buy this anywhere else.
  • Steamboat Soap Company Mud Mask, 3.5 oz - Dead Sea mineral mud and tea tree essential oil. Cleanse, tighten and tone. Brush on a thick layer, let it dry, rinse warm and follow with moisturiser.
  • Mountain Essentials Rose Gold goat's milk soap, 5 oz - a soft pink bar topped with gold leaf and dried rose petals. Made with love in Fairplay, from the goats we have actually met.
  • Mountain Essentials tallow butter - 100% grass-fed tallow, for skin that has spent a day in dry mountain air. Same farm, same goats.
  • Cooling Mint foot cream - handmade in Salida by Gena, because the trail takes it out of your feet first and nobody else thinks to put that in a gift.
  • Clover honey with a wooden dipper - from The Beekeeper's Honey Boutique in Salida.
  • Tea with Tae Spa Bliss, 5 pyramid sachets - caffeine-free chamomile, lavender, lemon and spearmint, blended in Golden. Plant-based and biodegradable down to the sachet.

Sourced one shop at a time, plus a soap dish that was custom made just for us.

Why it's different

Most Colorado gift boxes are snacks and souvenirs: jerky, coffee, a magnet with the flag on it. This one is a face, a bath, a cup of tea, and feet that have earned it.

And the soap dish is ours. Angie glazes each one by hand in Salida, and it exists nowhere else.

Hand-packed in Berthoud, Colorado. Arrives ready to give, no wrapping required. No alcohol and nothing perishable, so it ships anywhere in the country without a worry.

Because each soap dish is glazed by hand, the one in your box will vary from the photo. That is rather the point.

Meet the Makers

Six makers. Four Colorado towns. We drove to most of them.

Kim and her two daughters outside The Maverick Potter on North F Street in Salida, Colorado.

The Maverick Potter

Salida, Colorado. Suzanne said yes to a brand she'd never heard of. Angie glazes every soap dish by hand, which is why no two are alike.
Two girls at a corral fence feeding goats while alpacas graze behind them on the Mountain Essentials farm in Fairplay, Colorado.

Mountain Essentials

Fairplay, Colorado. Rose Gold goat's milk soap and grass-fed tallow butter. We drove out to the farm and met the goats.
Kim with Gena of Salida Sunshine Botanicals in her Salida, Colorado workshop, shelves of tinctures and jars behind them.

Salida Sunshine Botanicals

Salida, Colorado. Gena has been making botanical skincare from high-country plants for decades. Her Cooling Mint foot cream is in the box.

The Beekeeper's Honey Boutique

Salida, Colorado. Raw Colorado clover honey and the wooden dipper that goes with it.

Steamboat Soap Company

Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Dead Sea mineral mud and tea tree, 3.5 oz. The item people are most surprised to find in a gift box.

Tea with Tae

Golden, Colorado. A caffeine-free herbal blend from a women-owned tea company, compostable down to the sachet.
